General information for users of the ASTRON guesthouse

Welcome to the guesthouse of ASTRON. If you are invited to our guesthouse the next information is important.

This page is meant to be a guide for you in the guesthouse, to inform you about the service we can supply to you.

What to do on arrival?

On arrival and before departure please contact mr. F. Möller (care taker) for booking in/out, issue/collection of keys and general explanation of the accommodation.
If, when you arrive in your room, you find that anything is not as you expect it to be, please report it to the reception and they will take immediate action.
If you have any dietary needs please make this known on arrival and we will make sure that it is taken care for.
Please pass on any changes relative to your stay in the guest accommodation to the receptionist.

What facilities does the ASTRON guesthouse offer?

• The living room is equipped with comfortable furniture, wide-screen TV/Video with satellite-receiver.

• The bedrooms include a shower/toilet facility.

• The kitchen is for the joint use of the guesthouse inhabitants. All modern kitchen utilities are available: coolers/freezers, wash-/dry-machine. The caretaker will tell you the details of all the above-mentioned equipment.

• There is a wash- and dry-machine, iron and ironing board available for joint use.
• Dry-cleaning: please contact the caretaker.

• In the guesthouse you can use the phone in the living room.

• If you want to make an external call, first dial an "0".

What service does ASTRON provide?

As inmate of our guesthouse you can dispose over a number of services.

Groceries

There is a standard supply of groceries in the accommodation pantry. If you find that any item(s) have run out of stock or that you have special wishes of your own, please contact mr. Möller, he shall replenish any missing stock and/or deal with any extra wishes (the shopping is mainly done on Monday and Thursday). If you keep any food in the refrigerator provided in the pantry, please take care to mark it as your own (To prevent unwanted removal) and to remove it before you leave.

Bicycle

You can use a bicycle. This costs € 2,75 per day. If you want to use it for a longer period it is possible that € 10,- is asked as guarantee.
You are responsible for the bicycle; if there is any damage as a result of improper use, repairs will be for your own account. If you do hire a bicycle please keep it in the bicycle shed in front of the main building.

Laundry

You can use the washing facilities provided in the guest accommodation.

Directions for use of the ASTRON Guesthouse

• We kindly ask you not to use the kitchen and living room every noon between 16.00-17.00 hrs, due to cleaning activities.
• The bedding is changed and your room is cleaned once a week. Therefore we must ask you to vacate your room between 16.00-17.00 hrs.
• On the day of your departure we kindly request you to vacate your room at 14.00 am. It is possible to leave your luggage in the room until you leave.
• If you use the washing/drying machine please clean the filters afterwards, if you need any explanation to the use of these machines please contact mr. Möller.
• If you discover any breakages, malfunctions or irregularities please pass these on to the receptionist.
• We ask you most urgently to take care that everything you use in the guest accommodation is left clean and tidy after use.

Pets

• Pets are not allowed in the Guest accommodation.

Keys

• You can collect your keys at the Reception in the office building. If you leave, please return the key to the Reception.

Smoking

• It is not allowed to smoke in the bedrooms. It is allowed in the living room, but only if your fellow-guests do not mind.

Damage to inventory: kitchen, bed-, bath-, and living room

• We kindly ask you if there is any damage, please inform the caretaker. We will try to repair/replace it as soon as possible.

Liability

• ASTRON cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to your personal property or possessions. We therefore strongly advise you to keep your room door locked.

Theft

• If you find that something has been stolen, you must report the matter personally to the police (see important telephone numbers).

Disorders

• You can report disorders of any nature to the reception.

Accommodation costs

• € 62,- per night.
