ms.close - Function

Detach the ms tool from the measurement set table

Synopsis
close()

Description
This function detaches the ms tool from the associated measurement set table after flushing all the cached changes. After calling this function the ms tool is not associated with any measurement set and using any function other than open will result in an error message being sent to the logger.

This function can be useful to avoid synchronization problems which can occur when different processes have the same ms open.

Returns
nothing
