Guidelines

Guidelines for application

Funding under the Helena Kluyver programme can only be awarded to applicants who are in contact with ASTRON/JIVE employees about a concrete project to work on as a Kluyver visitor.

If you are interested in applying for the programme, please first contact the scientist(s) or engineer(s) at ASTRON/JIVE who you want to collaborate with. Together with your local collaborator(s), you should set up a project or research plan which you want to work on during your visit first, describing the technical details of the subject.

A Helena Kluyver visit can cover a period of a three weeks up to a maximum of three months. Candidates of any level and nationality are eligible to be considered for the programme, although priority will be given to advanced-career researchers.

It is intended that the selected visitors contribute to the vibrant working environment in Dwingeloo during their stay by working on a shared research or development project wit their collaborators, giving presentations, sbumitting an ASTRON/JIVE Daily Image and participating in other outreach activities.

To apply, please send an email to genderequityATastron.nl, including your project or research plan, your local collaborator(s), the period you would like to visit, and your funding request. The diversity committee of ASTRON/JIVE will evaluate your proposal and inform you about their decision as soon as possible.

If you have any questions about the programme, you can send an email to morgantiATastron.nl
