LOFAR Inauguration: How do I reach the location?

1) by car: The map which can be found through the link above indicates where you can park your car. Upon arrival, please follow the signs. The distance to the location where the Inauguration takes place is approximately 1 km (~ a 15 minute walk). There will be a shuttle bus that you can take.

2) If you are staying at the Hof van Saksen and taking part in the Astronomy Meeting "A New Golden Age for Radio Astronomy" and/or one of the other ISKAF2010 meetings, then transport will be provided by the event organizers. You will be informed of further details upon arrival.

3) If you are travelling by train. We will provide a SINGLE coach that takes you to the venue. This coach leaves from Assen Railway Station at 13.15. If you miss this bus, we advise you to take a taxi. The distance is 26 km - the trip will take about 35 minutes.
