Building MeqTrees
MeqTrees (aka Timba) was developed on Linux. The major problem with building and installing MeqTrees on any given system is the large number of external packages and libraries required. Debian and Ubuntu systems generally give the least trouble.
A (currently experimental) port to Mac OS X has been accomplished by Mike Sipior. See /MacPort for details. We're working on making a binary Mac distribution for the 1.1 release.
Read /RequiredSoftware for notes on how to set up your system to build MeqTrees. See also some distribution-specific notes: /DebianNotes, /CentOsNotes, /ScientificLinuxNotes, /UbuntuLinuxNotes, /GentooLinuxNotes, SuseNotes.pdf. (Some of these may be out of date, since we've switched to Qt4 and a cmake-based build system.)
Read /CheckingOut for instruction on getting the source from our subversion server.
Read /ActualBuild for instructions on building with the new CMake-based build system (rev 6972, 12/06/2009 or later). See /ActualBuildOldBuildSystem for instructions on setting up a local build using the old build system.

MeqTrees-Installation.pdf is a small presentation (from the Nancay MCCT Workshop, 2009) about building and installing MeqTrees from source.
See /CommonProblems for solutions to common problems.
See Daily Build Results for a summary of last night's daily build.
See The Subversion Book for details on using Subversion.
