MS Selection Options
All Calico scripts share the same MS selection mechanism. This is incorporated in the "compile-time" menu that pops up whenever you load a script in the browser. The options are as follows:
- The "MS" option is, obviously, the measurement set. Click here to get a stanard file dialog, and select your MS.
- The "Antenna subset" option allows you to select a subset of antennas. Only baselines involving the selected antennas will be shown. "None" selects all antennas. "0:13" (for WSRT) also selects all antennas. "0 1 2 3" (or equivalently "0:3") selects only the first four antennas. "0:6,8:13" selects all antennas except 7. Commas or spaces may be used as separators.
- The "Correlations" option determines how correlations in the MS will be mapped to a coherency matrix:
- "2x2" means your MS contains all four correlations, and all four will be used to form up a coherency matrix.
- "2x2, diagonal terms only" means your MS contains all four correlations, but only XX and YY will be used for the coherency matrix. The off-diagonal terms will be set to 0.
- "2" means your MS contains only XX and YY. The off-diagonal terms will be set to 0.
- "1" means your MS contains only a single correlation. Matrix formalism will not be used, since all coherencies are then scalars.
- other settings may be added in the future, according to user demand.
