19/04/2006 MM: I installed parmdb, you need to install the package yourself. See BuildingTimba/ActualBuild or BuildingTimba/Rebuilding for details how to do this. You will also need to reconfigure. After rebuilding your old ParmTables will not be valid anymore.

30/12/2005 OMS: Glish is dead, long live Python. As promised, all Glish support has been phased out. You may want to remove the OCTOGlish and GlishUtil directories and re-bootstrap.
30/12/2005 OMS: the layout of request IDs has changed. This does not affect any functionality; if you want to know how to interpret the new Request IDs, see NewRequestIdLayout.
15/12/2005 OMS: multithreading is now available! See MultithreadedTrees.
15/12/2005 OMS: I have settled on a more or less stable combination of libraries, browser should be ok on our machines. FYR, the following were downgraded: Qt-3.3.2, sip-4.1.1, PyQt-3.13 (these are interdependent so need to be downgraded and upgraded en masse). QScintilla upgraded to 1.65. PyQwt stays at 4.2. Will wait for bugfixes in newer PyQt.
05/12/2005 OMS: Problems with recent versions of PyQt. We've had some stability problems with the latest versions of python2.3 and PyQt, at least those in the Debian testing branch. I've implemented a workaround on lofar9/10/birch, but please report to me if your browser falls over spontaneously. For those of you setting up your own machines, see my comments here: OlegSmirnov/PythonCrashes.
01/12/2005 OMS: cedar is down for now, don't use it, and remove it from your .distcc/hosts files.

26/04/2005: SmartCaching has been implemented and checked in (if this breaks anything, you can roll back to 25/04/2005).
07/04/2005: TensorMath has been checked in, see page for details. Existing nodes should not be affected, with the possible exception of Spigot and Sink -- see documentation in header files for details.
