• METIS is the Mid Infrared E-ELT Imager and Spectrograph and is the only instrument on the European Extremely Large Telescope that processes light on wavelengths between 3 and 15 micrometre. METIS consists of optics and an L&M band camera, an N-band camera and an L&M band spectrograph.
• OPTIMOS-EVE is the OPtical Infrared Multi Object Spectrograph for the European Extremely Large Telescope called the Extreme Visual Explorer. OPTIMOS-EVE can measure spectra of hundreds of objects at the same time at visual wavelengths and in the near infrared. It is a very versatile instrument because of the different spectral resolutions and the possibility to use different Integral Field Units.
