DRAFT VERSION
The administrative section of NorthStar is used to start up so-called review processes. This part is the only part not (yet) described in the manual.
The main page can be found on http://yourhost.com/proposal-review/administrative.
This page shows two things:
Both are described below.
Review users can be seen as special NorthStar users. Only users defined in here have access to the NorthStar-review pages. If you are not a review user, you will see an 'Access forbidden' message.
There are to ways of adding review users:
On this overview there is a disctinction if a review user is involved with a review process or not. When adding reviewers, chair, referees, etc to a review process, than can only be picked from this list of review users. Review users not involved in a process can be deleted again.
Bug: when adding review users for the first time it is possible they do not show in the list right away. But if you add one of them to a review process you will see all the reviewers on that overview page like intended.
Reviewing a certain semester round for one or more proposals with all manager and reviewers are configured in what we call a review process.
When adding a new process the corresponding TAG needs to be filled in. The TAGs are configurable in the XML config file that is supplied with the application. These are only accessible by the system administrators who have access to the server where the application runs on. Also a description is needed defining the review process. After adding a review process it will now show on the overview page of the review processes.
Adding a review process is not enough. After adding it needs to be filled in with information like review users and which semeseter is review by the newly created review process. This can be done by pressing the details button.
A review process consists of 5 items which need to be filled in:
When the review process is fully defined, it's status needs to be set to 'active'. After this is done. All the reviewers who are involved in this review process will be able to their work as defined in the manual
