Wide and deep blind surveys of extragalactic HI are ongoing using the Arecibo L-band Feed Array (ALFA). These current-generation surveys will provide samples of tens of thousands of galaxies, selected by their HI content alone. The surveys are complementary in depth and angular coverage, from the wide-angle and relatively shallow Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA (ALFALFA) survey, through the deeper Arecibo Galaxy Environment Survey (AGES) over selected regions, to the Arecibo Ultra Deep Survey (AUDS) over very small areas. I will give an overview of the high-Galactic-latitude ALFA HI surveys, and of the low-Galactic-latitude ALFA Zone of Avoidance shallow and deep surveys as well.
