The poster presents results from optimization studies on antenna configurations for MeerKAT that combine sensitivity to low surface brightness structures (as desired mainly by HI science) and high resolution (as desired mainly by continuum studies and transient science). We have also taken into account more practical considerations like infrastructure and geographical constraints.
