First UHF VLBI
Spectral line observationsat 750-1000MHz (nonprotected bands!)
observed in November-December 1997.
Investigation
Vermeulen, Briggs, Browne, de Bruyn, Carilli, and Menten were investigating
redshifted HI absorption in:
- Gravitational lenses
- Red QSOs
- CSOs
Some of these were disovered with the WSRT UHF systems. In some cases EMI was
a problem

- Effelsberg 100m
- Jodrell Bank 72m
- WSRT tied-array
- Greenbank 45m
For slightly higher frequencies
(~1100-1200MHz) the VLBA took part subsequently.
