Definition of the Faint Source Sample
The sample of 127 sources were all drawn from the VLA FIRST survey with the following simple selection criteria:

  • all sources lie within 1.5 degress of the VLBI calibrator J1159+291

  • all sources are unresolved by the VLA FIRST survey (measured sizes < or equal to 5 arcsec)

  • all sources have FIRST peak fluxes $> 10$~mJy/beam
