Venue, accommodation and logistics

The workshop will take place at ASTRON in Dwingeloo, the Netherlands. Dwingeloo is in the north-east of the Netherlands, and can be reached in about 20 minutes by either private car or taxi from Hoogeveen railway
station.  For a train schedule, please look at the website http://www.ns.nl/en/travellers/home.

Ticket machines at all train stations accept credit cards (Visa and MasterCard); however, a pin code is required.

If you need a taxi from Hoogeveen, please inform us of your arrival time by sending an e-mail to lofarworkshop@astron.nl.

For the people who are attending the LOFAR workshop in Assen from 1-3 June, ASTRON will provide a free shuttle bus from the hotels in Assen to ASTRON on Thursday morning 4 June at 08:30 hrs. When you register please indicate whether you want make use of the free shuttle bus.
For arrivals and departures outside the scheduled shuttle time, we can assist with taxi booking but you will be responsible for the costs.

Accomodation

A block reservation has been made at Hotel de Borken. The deadline is 1 May 2015. The hotel is at walking distance from ASTRON (~20 minutes, 2 km). More details of the hotel can be found at:

The cost of a single room is 67,50 Euros and the cost of a double room is 75 Euros, all including breakfast. For assistance in finding a roommate, please send an e-mail to lofarworkshop@astron.nl

While making the hotel room reservation, please refer to the code "MSSS".  You can reserve a hotel room in one of two ways:
