Traditionally the Nobel Laureates travel to Stockholm and Oslo to receive their Nobel Prizes. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, this year the medals are taken to them. You are invited to join in all the festivities as the Nobel Lectures, 2020 award ceremonies and much more is steamed online at nobelprize.org.

We were surprised that this year the field of astronomy was awarded again, now for the discovery of black holes. One of the laureates is Reinhard Genzel, the initiator of MICADO for the Extremely Large Telescope.

Because of the celebrations there are special Swedish treats at coffee breaks in the ASTRON canteen.
