Europe looks for the Next Generation Space VLBI mission

| Description: | On 15 June 2006, 23 scientists representing 14 institutes from nine countries gathered at JIVE for the European VSOP-2/Astro-G Kick-Off Meeting. The VSOP-2/Astro-G mission is the second generation Space VLBI project led by the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), represented at the meeting by Prof. H.Hirabayashi, Head of the JAXA Space VLBI Laboratory. The meeting has set in motion what is expected to become a European Segment of the Next Generation VLBI Observatory in Space. |
