Tied Array Distribution Unit (TADU) TOM board

Submitter: Arie Doorduin
Description: This picture shows the TADU Output Module (TOM) board.
TADU distributes the 16 outputs from the DZB to the PUMA inputs(unfiltered) and to the Mark5B (filtered).
The TOM board contains twelve 32 * 12 bits crossbar switches, eight Time variant Filters, selectable from 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, 0.5 and 0.25Mhz bandwitdth, and eight power scalers to calculate the relation between the current input power and the average input power.
On the output it holds LVDS drivers to transfer the data to the Mark5B system.
The board carries up to eight DZB compatible serial link drivers.
An 8-bits A/D converter to inject an analog input signal, and a 100Mbs Ethernet link to read out testdata are implemented.
The TOM board is a 40*50cm 14-layer board.
