Find Best Focus

| Description: | A laser test beam provides a focused spot in the Verification Model of the Spectrometer Main Optics (MIRI project). The light path hits 5 mirrors when it is focused. A microscope objective magnifies the observation of the spot. Spot size 0.03mm. The position where the Focal Plane will be located must be found. Different pictures through focus provide spots on the screen. Focus steps are 0.05mm. What do you think is best Focus? |
