LOFAR spins off new business

| Description: | ASTRON and the LOFAR project receive money from economic incentive funds for stimulating the Northern and Dutch economy. This type of subsidy creates an obligation to work on new economic activity. Today we present one of these new spin-offs. A while ago, during a "Sensor Universe" meeting, the economic possibilities of sensor networks were discussed by a.o. NS (Netherlands Railways), Gasunie, NAM and representatives of the government. As a result of this meeting, Eugène de Geus and Kjeld van der Schaaf have decided to establish the company "Dynamic Systems Intelligence" with the aim to market intelligent sensor networks. ASTRON wishes Eugène and Kjeld a lot of success - their success will also reflect on ASTRON. |
