X-Shooter Prisms

| Description: | Exciting times for the X-Shooter team; all optics for the near infrared arm of the X-Shooter spectrograph are in, and ready to be integrated. Of all optical components, the three prisms are real eye catchers. The two reddish prisms are made out of Zinc Selenide, while the third prism is made from Infrasil. These materials have high levels for transmission in the near infrared. More to come..... |
