Galileo / GALSEE linear to circular polarity converter

| Description: | In the Galileo SMF project, the WSRT telescope is used to validate the signals from the galileo satellites with respect to their RF properties and modulation quality. Since the WSRT's MFFE has a dual linear polarization and the Galileo satellites are circular polarized, a converter was made to convert the polarization into left- and right handed circular signals. The converter is was created with nothing more than a Lange coupler and a hand full of other components. The amplitude variation of the system within the band is less than 0.5dB and the phase is 90 degrees +/- 1 degree. |
