| Description: | On the 25th of November, some 25 representatives from regional and national industries gathered at ASTRON to be informed about the opportunities the SKA project will offer in the coming years. This first briefing session included presentations about ASTRON, Aperture Arrays and Technologies as well as the movie "The making of EMBRACE". The audience showed great interest and appreciation for this event. Many in depth questions were asked and connections were made with their forward thinking. They clearly indicated that this information day should receive a follow-up in a couple of months. The session was concluded by a tour for those not yet familiar with ASTRON's facilities, as well as an informal networking drink which lasted for many hours. |
