These will be upbeat affairs, since the combination of the two sister institutes is remarkably successful in our little world of radio astronomy. So our Directors will strut their stuff with confidence and optimism, and rightly so.
However, just like LOFAR would be nowhere without the unsung heroes who toil with freezing fingers in mud and sleet and snow and drafty electronics cabinets, our Leaders would not be able to lead so steadily without the quiet dedication and self-effacement of the Velvet Force behind their thrones. But they know that, of course.
