Description: | Recently the SKA Project Development Office (SPDO) charged the Swinburne Astronomy Productions group to produce a new movie of the Square Kilometre Array (SKA). Swinburne has done a fantastic job in bringing the SKA to life with all the main technologies being presented, including dishes (with focal plane arrays, single pixel & wide-band feeds), plus dense and sparse aperture arrays. Currently the SKA Science and Engineering Committee (SSEC) is considering what the key science goals of phase 1 of the SKA should be, and how these will then be translated into technology choices and robust cost estimates. With scientists, engineers and funding agencies anxious to move the project further forward, decisions on these matters are now expected to take place before the ISKAF2010 meeting in June 2010.
