| Description: | On May 4, Eduardo Rubio Herrera succesfully defended his PhD thesis, titled "Galactic and extragalactic searches for pulsars and radio transients". It this thesis, Dr. Rubio Herrera present results and methods for finding radio pulsars, through the detection of the bright one-off bursts that some of them emit. Using Westerbork, several Rotating Radio Transient candidates were found in the Galactic plane and the Cygnus region. |
