ASTRON/NOVA at the Fotonica Evenement

| Description: | Since 2007, the Dutch photonics community gathers each year at the Fotonica Evenement. ASTRON/NOVA is always present with its RF-Photonics and Infrared activities. The "Evenement" is a mixture of a conference and an exhibition, and attracts scientists, businessmen, students and other "photonics enthousiasts". An ideal place to stay informed about the latest developments in the photonics field and to create and maintain valuable contacts. At this year's event, which attracted more than 700 people, ASTRON/NOVA had a threefold presence: Firstly with its own modest, yet effective booth. Secondly, with an oral conference contribution about photonic technology for radio astronomy systems. And last but not least, our Photonic Tile (see also AJDI 01/02/2011) in the booth of the SmartMix MEMPHIS project. The latter attracted quite a lot of attention, especially its special multi-color photonic illumination. |
