1/4 AAVS / SKA-NN TILE

| Description: | This is a prototype of a 1/4 AAVS / SKA-NN TILE. The latter is a 1 m^2 phased array with 64 antenna elements. The purpose of this prototype is to evaluate the problems in building a dual-beam, dual-polarisation frontend. What you see is an aluminium plate with 4 Octaboards, 2 Combinerboards and one Centreboard. The steering is done with I2C and a PIC-controllerboard (not shown on this picture). |
