Solar Sound Ensemble

| Description: | Oerol, a renowned Dutch arts festival, will visit Dwingeloo on the 2nd of juli. The performance `Solar Sound Ensemble' by Andreas Hirsch is a composition of sounds and images, based on recent observations carried out with the old Dwingeloo Telescope. Science and art will come together in the beautiful nature area around the telescope, promising an unforgettable night under the stars. There is also an educational project by video artist Rosa van Hofwegen associated with the concert. Students from the Stad & Esch school in Diever made a video production under her direction, which will be shown prior to the concert. And the Dwingeloo Telescope, center stage of this performance, will be open for visits before the concert. CAMRAS, the volunteers who are restoring the telescope and bringing it back to work for science and education, will provide guided tours of the working telescope.
