A grand day out

| Description: | On 27 July, ASTRON and JIVE's fearless summer students and other adventurous staff set out on the annual "wadlopen" excursion. For three hours they slogged through mud, hiked over sand, waded through water and traversed chest-deep streams, crossing the low tide of the Wadden Sea to the island of Ameland. The going was rough at times, but for their efforts they were rewarded with camaraderie and a memorable Dutch experience. Plans are already underway for a potential nighttime crossing! |
