RS409 Fochteloo

Submitter: Jan-Pieter de Reijer
Description: The next-to-be-built LOFAR station, RS409 Fochteloo, urgently needed an inspection, by the Roll-Out manager. It turned out to be an in-depth inspection of a station that quite appropriately has the Dutch word for moisture ("vocht") in its name.

Fortunately, the Dutch have a long history of cheerfully wrenching things from the water, be it land from the sea, or LOFAR stations from rain-soaked fields. The heraldic motto of our wettest province is "Luctor et Emergo", meaning "With Luck we may Emerge from this". Eventually, we did.
