Description: | June 27th, 2012, ASTRON hosted its first Student Mini-Symposium and BBQ, in which some of the students (co-)supervised by ASTRON staff gave short talks about their research. The program featured talks by Yvette Cendes ("AARTFAAC's RFI Problem"), Raj Thilak Rajan ("OLFAR: Orbiting Low-Frequency Antennas for Radio Astronomy"), and Katinka Gereb ("The Global HI Properties of Galaxies at Z ~ 0.1").
After the talks, we retired to the Bospub for drinks, a BBQ, a little summer Sun (!), and further discussion. |
