| Description: | Earlier this month the astronomers from ASTRON and JIVE gathered at the Overcinge mansion in Havelte (about 20 km from Dwingeloo) for their annual AstroFest work retreat. In the beautiful setting of Overcinge, a number of short presentations were given by various people to update each other on progress and projects over the last year. There was also room for more informal networking. Thanks to the nice weather the lunch and coffee breaks were used extensively for in-promptu softball games and also the scaling of the hunebedden megalithic monuments was particularly popular this year. |
