ARTAMIS on a Mission

| Description: | This year's ADASS (Astronomical Data Analysis and Software Systems) conference was held in Groningen; see the Daily Image of Oct 9th for a summary. Many people from ASTRON attended ADASS and presented their work orally or on a poster. We submitted a poster depicting the ARTAMIS monitor tool for WSRT/APERTIF/ARTS, which is extensively used in daily operations and for fault detection. The poster, created by our operator/artist Henk Mulder shows in a concise way a snapshot of the large amount of functionality and information that ARTAMIS provides the Operator with. If you are curious how it works in real-time, visit the Control Room and let it be demonstrated to you! We got many positive reactions and several people from other observatories showed a strong interest. ARTAMIS is slowly but surely conquering the world...! |
