PV Telescooploop with goat’s cheese

Submitter: Eric Kooistra
Description: Last Wednesday, October 16, 2019 we had the PV Telescooploop. Already for the 5th time! About 27 colleagues and friends ran, walked or cycled back to the Dwingeloo Telescope near the ASTRON building.

This year we had a record participation of 7 people who ran the 24 km distance from the WSRT to ASTRON. The other distances were 15 and 8 km running, 24 and 11 km walking and 56 and 112 km cycling. Three people cycled the whole 112 km tour from ASTRON via remote station RS307 to the LOFAR superterp and back via WSRT.

Pieter Jager and Hiddo Hanenburg provided the participants with fruit and drinks at posts 1 and 2 along the 24 km route and Eric cycled up and down the 24 km route as a guide.

It was a great day to be outside and afterwards we had a drink in the canteen and ate some fruit, nuts and crackers with goat's cheese to close the event.
