Description: | In these Corona-virus times ASTRON, JIVE and NOVA staff are working from home. Many of us probably miss the daily lunch walk in the beautiful Dwingelderveld nature reserve. Submitter of this daily image now does the lunch walk (keeping 1.5 m distance) in the neighbourhood in Assen small town centre. The photo shows the Drents Museum and the Drents Archief. It’s not as beautiful as the Dwingeloo forest, but still a nice view. The Drents museum exhibition 'Barbizon van het Noorden' shows paintings of Drenthe by famous painters (e.g. Israels, Van Gogh, Mesdag) until 13 September 2020. https://drentsmuseum.nl/en/exhibitions/barbizon-north Hopefully the museum - and other museums - will reopen somewhere later this summer. |
