Confluence training with Avisi

| Description: | ASTRON management has decided to adopt Confluence more widely in the organisation, where it was used mostly for a few projects and the documentation of the telescopes before Corona. As part of this effort, most of the current ASTRON intranet will move to Confluence as well. ASTRON has hired some external Confluence experts from Avisi https://www.avisi.nl/) to adapt our current Confluence practices and tools to the wider ASTRON organisation. As part of this process, Avisi is also training ASTRON employees on the finer details of administering and configuring Confluence and the various plugins we use and plan to use. This image shows a Covid-compliant Zoom session with one of the Avisi trainers and several ASTRON employees in a training on "Confluence administation". This training was given during several days in late February and early March 2021. Currently the new Confluence intranet in being tested by a group of users on the internal test server. It is the intention to add the intranet functionality step by step to the production environment after Easter, so that everyone at ASTRON can gradually become familiar with the adjustments in layout, structure, etc. Additional training will then be organized for a wider audience as well. |
