Upgrade Melkwegpad

| Description: | Earlier this year, we started the project Upgrade Milky Way Path. The aim of this project is to realise an up-to-date footpath near to the Westerbork telescopes. Along this trail, there are 22 information boards regarding the Milky Way, planets and radio astronomy. So it means 22 times a new: - design - colour - text - pictures - scale model - question (and (hidden) answer) It is a very nice project to manage and I enjoy the cooperation with my colleagues in the project activities. Like last Friday... Along the trail there are two playgrounds with an object called 'gravity' and the 'whisper dishes'. Last week, Jorrit Siebenga, Arthur Coolen, Tammo-Jan Dijkema, Albert-Jan Boonstra and myself removed sand from the playground beneath the 'gravity' object and replaced the horizontal beams. So, it was not really "another day at the office" but certainly a very nice one. Thank you guys! I hope to be able to present you a first impression of the new information boards soon... |
