Honorary Professor appointment at the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute of the University of Groningen for Erwin de Blok

| Description: | ASTRON's Erwin de Blok has been appointed as Honorary Professor in the Structure and Evolution of Nearby Galaxies at the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute of the University of Groningen. His work includes the study of nearby galaxies in neutral hydrogen as P.I. of one of the MeerKAT Large Survey Programs and through his ERC Advanced Grant "MeerGas". He will also help prepare for Dutch scientific participation in SKA1-MID through a Netherlands SKA Science Data Center and SKA Regional Centres. |
