Description: | Many kids are curious about the universe, and our telescopes are very photogenic. That is why we often co-write and feature in educational TV series. These are aired on TV and online, and feature on schooltv, the in-class platform for ages 0-18 (where, e.g., we experimented with black holes for elementary-school kids, and where there is also a documentary plus supporting teacher/student material about the ARTS supercomputer for high school students).
Tomorrow premieres on TV a new episode for Klokhuis, recorded last summer. We have long-running collaboration with this show, whose reach among school kids is basically 100%. The new episode is about planet hunting and life, features some very nice shots of WSRT and LOFAR, and at the end it even [oops, almost spoiled it! -- I guess you'll have to see for yourself, tomorrow 18.40 NPO Zapp (NPO 3) and after that 24/7 online]. |
