Description: | The SKAO Observatory is an inter-governmental organisation established in 2021 to build and operate the two largest radio telescopes on Earth. Now officially in the construction phase, the first SKA data released to the astronomy community is almost in sight. In this talk I will give a brief overview of the status of the Observatory, the Operational model and the expected timeline to community-led science as we navigate through the key milestones of commissioning, Science Verification and our first shared-risk cycle. |
