Description: | The University of Amsterdam's Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy offers a bi-annual MSc-level course in Radio Astronomy, which has been running since 2013. The 7th edition of the course was coordinated by Antonia Rowlinson, with some lectures given by Jason Hessels. The course includes a field trip to ASTRON, Westerbork, and the LOFAR core, which we did on May 9th. Thanks to all at ASTRON who helped with tours of their labs and the Dwingeloo Radio Telescope. Pictured here at Westerbork, under a beautiful sky, are students Corinna, Derek, Jiaqi, Pepijn, Rembrand, and Thijn. |
