| Description: | This picture was taken in the early days of MkV recorders in the EVN, around 2004. It shows the moment of a successful MkV test in WSRT. The Man of the Moment was System Scientist Tony Foley, who clearly is delighted (and somewhat surprised). The significance of the event may be gleaned from the quality of the onlookers. From left to right they are Mike Garrett (JIVE CEO) , Willem Baan (ASTRON COO) and Andy Biggs (a very nice guy, and a talented Karaoke singer). |
