LOFAR RFI measurements at Effelsberg

| Description: | LOFAR is planning to install remote stations at several sites outside of The Netherlands, especially in Germany. The first of these is very likely to be placed near the 100m radio telescope in Effelsberg, later this year. Last week an ASTRON team has performed measurements of the RFI environment at the site to verify its suitablility for doing low frequency radio astronomy. |
