Laying the LOFAR foundations

| Description: | This series of images shows the laying of the foundation of the instrument cabinet for LOFAR Core Station 1 (CS1), which will be tested this autumn. In the future, each LOFAR station will have such a cabinet. The rust-coloured sheets in one of the pictures are the metal ground-planes for the first batch of Low Band antennas (30-90 MHz). |
