THEA tile in focus

| Description: | The THEA tile that ASTRON sold to CSIRO Australia last year has recently been lifted to the focus of the Fleurs dish. CSIRO is now debugging the system. Signals from a satellite and of course from their friendly ground based interferrers have been observed and so far the tile is working well. Prior to this success additional bandpass filters have been inserted to make the system much less vulnerable to the GSM basestation nearby and the UHF TV tower which is several kms distant. |
