Description: | The pictures shows the process of Flexible Antenna Plating (FAB). Picture 1: A conductive seed layer is printed on foil Picture 2: The printed foil is galvanically plated. Picture 3: Chips are mounted to the copper layer The FAB-process has been developed to manufacture RFID-tags in high volume at low cost. Investigations have been started to proof the feasibility of making Vivaldi antennae and transmission lines. The Dutch Company MECO Equipment Engineers has developed the FAP-process. The first machine has been sold in 2006. |
