A Student LOFAR Antenna

| Description: | The student workshop at the School of Physics and Astronomy has made a model of the LOFAR antenna as part of a 4th year project. The students Rory Steven and Tom Hassell, seen in the picture, are monitoring the RF environment on the roof of the Schuster Lab. in Manchester. The work involved in producing the frame precludes this being a production method for LOFAR antennas, but when varnished it will be a Rolls Royce LOFAR antenna! |
