During the RF course of April, our Colloquium room was rearranged into a comfortable and well suited hands-on lab. Jürgen Morawietz did prepare four different measurement set-ups for each of the two hands-on sessions. He and Peter de Vrijer performed a perfect role in assisting the attendees on executing their practices. They are challenged for their knowledge about RF on every run of the course (Referring to a valid saying One fool can ask more questions than seven wise men can answer)
Our course attendees for instance have to characterize a low noise amplifier on Gain, Noise IP3 and its S-parameters using Spectrum and Network analyzers.
This 3-days course attracts various professionals from Dutch (RF) industries, telecomm operators and governmental organizations. The majority of the lecturers of this course are provided by ASTRON. On average this course is held twice a year.
