| Description: | Recently ASTRON received a visit from mw. drs. B.J. (Babs) van den Bergh and dr. Jan van de Donk, both from the ministry of Education, Culture & Science. Jan is a frequent visitor to ASTRON but this was Babs' first visit. Babs was recently appointed Director of Research & Science Policy, and was keen to find out more about ASTRON and our future ambitions. After a visit to the LOFAR stations in Exloo, accompanied by Rene Vermeulen, Michiel van Haarlem & Huub Rottgering (Leiden), Babs and Jan had discussions with other members of the ASTRON MT. The visit ended with a tour of the ASTRON facilities in Dwingeloo. Our visitors did not leave empty handed - much to their delight they received an ASTRON "lucky bag", packed full of brochures, posters, newsletters, pens and other essential goodies! |
