| Description: | It is now established that an interdependence exists between the accretion disc and the jet in an X-ray binary system (XRB). Moreover, the evidence is mounting that the accretion/ejection processes at work in XRBs are similar to those acting in active galactic nuclei (AGNs). I will showcase the evidence for the disc-jet coupling in XRBs and how it relates to its AGN counterpart, and present a few study cases on particular systems. Although we have a relatively good general understanding of the coupling, the details are missing and, more interestingly, are at times puzzling. |
